On the 17/3 the government announced the beginning of a new subsidy scheme for sustainable development in residences, which will run from 2014-2020, under the name ‘Exoikonomo-Anavathmizo’. 1.Types of investment
A. Complete energy upgrading of a building or building units that are used as residences, in order to achieve an energy upgrading of at least ‘B’ category on the Energy Efficiency Certificate, or for energy saving at least 40% compared to the total energy consum
ption of the residence prior to the upgrading.
B. Complete energy upgrading of a building used as a residence in order to become nearly zero-energy building
C. Implementation of individual measures for energy saving in buildings or building units, that are used as permanent residences for vulnerable groups of consumers.
2. Priority order
The priority order in evaluating the application is determined according to the date the application was submitted (immediate evaluation).
3. Right to submit an application
All individuals that permanently reside on areas that are under the control of Cyprus Republic’s government for the last six (6) months prior to the submission of the application have the right to submit an application. Applications have been acceptable since 6/4/2015 and will be accepted until 23/12/2016 or until the available budget of the first invitation becomes depleted.
4. The following conditions apply for the building the application is submitted for:
A. Must belong to the individual that is the beneficiary of the scheme.
B. Must be used as a residence.
C. Must be located on areas that are under the control of Cyprus Republic’s government.
D. The urban license must have been submitted before the 21st December 2007. In case where the license was not demanded, the building permit must have been submitted prior to the 21/12/2007. For buildings that were completed at a time where buiding permit was not required, you should produce appropriate certificate.
E. The Plan covers actions completed since 1/1/2014.
F. The applicants must prove that they have the financial means to completed the suggested project.
G. In case where the project commenced prior to the date of the application’s submission, the actions that comprise the essence of the project must not be completed prior to the approval date.
5. Selectable Expenses
There are 16 selectable expenses where some of them are required to be applied.
6. Financing rate
A’ TYPE OF INVESTMENT-COMPLETE ENERGY UPGRADING
The percentage of public funding will be 50% of the total approved budget of the proposal. In cases where the beneficiary falls into the susceptible consumer’s category, the percentage of public funding will increase to 75%. The amount of funding for energy upgrading of every building can be up to €15.000, whereas for every building unit up to €10.000. In case where a heating/cooling system is installed that uses renewable energy sources, the amount of funding can be increased by €10.000.
B’ TYPE OF INVESTMENT-UPGRADING TO NEAR ZERO ENERGY BUILDINGS
The percentage of public funding will be 75% of the total approved budget of the proposal. The amount of funding can be up to €25.000 for each building.
C’ TYPE OF INVESTMENT-SINGLE MEASURES IN PERMANENT RESIDENCES OF SUSCEPTIBLE GROUP OF CONSUMERS
The percentage of public funding will be 75% of the total approved budget of the proposal with maximum amounts in specific selectable expenses.
